Position Summary

The Project Manager is tasked with collaborating with commercial and industrial clients to oversee contracted projects. This role involves working alongside sales, engineering, and installation teams to devise solutions for clients while managing labor assignments, budgeting, and material procurement. Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Guide field staff through the successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Implement account management practices to ensure customer satisfaction while leading a team effectively.
  • Serve as a mentor, sharing knowledge of systems and installations to resolve issues and train team members.
  • Foster a high-performance team environment.
  • Take ownership of project delivery.
  • Manage diverse workflows efficiently.
  • Lead with a vision that aligns with our core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to develop, schedule, and communicate updates on contracted projects.
  • Oversee project staffing to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget constraints.
  • Estimate and bid on new construction, remodels, retrofits, modifications, and upgrades to secure services.
  • Deliver comprehensive and timely proposals based on project specifications or client requirements.
  • Clearly define the scope of work provided by our company for a complete solution.
  • Review and manage project billing processes.
  • Ensure all project documentation is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate customer training sessions.
  • Monitor ongoing work and evaluate employee performance.
  • Review job costs to maintain budget compliance.
  • Coordinate accurate material orders for projects.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Conduct project reviews upon completion.
  • Engage with industry trade organizations.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships.
  • Manage project stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a related field or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of blueprints and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various products and services and their applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Visio.
  • Skilled in estimating labor and materials for construction projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry and building automation systems.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in electronic communication.
  • Basic computer skills and keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to pass required background checks.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel to client locations and job sites.
  • Level 1: Sedentary Work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional walking and standing on uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
