Position Summary

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in liaising with commercial and industrial clients to oversee contracted projects. This position collaborates with sales, engineering, and installation teams to devise tailored solutions while managing labor assignments, budget allocations, and material procurement. Supervisory Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to develop, schedule, and communicate updates on contracted projects.
  • Oversee project staffing to ensure timely completion while maintaining budgetary constraints.
  • Promote services by estimating and bidding on new constructions, renovations, retrofits, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Deliver comprehensive and timely proposals based on project specifications or client requirements.
  • Clearly define the scope of work to ensure a complete solution is provided.
  • Review and process project billing.
  • Manage and maintain essential project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate and supervise client training sessions.
  • Monitor ongoing work and evaluate employee performance.
  • Review job costs to ensure adherence to budget.
  • Coordinate accurate orders for project materials.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Conduct project reviews upon completion.
  • Engage with industry trade organizations.
  • Continue to develop and nurture client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of blueprints and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various products and services and their applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
  • Skilled in estimating labor and materials for construction projects.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry and building automation systems.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, including proficiency in electronic communication.
  • Basic computer skills and strong keyboarding abilities.
  • Ability to pass background checks as required by clients.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel daily to client sites and work locations.
  • Level 1: Sedentary Work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and utilizing a computer.
  • Occasional walking and/or standing on uneven or unimproved surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
