Position Summary

The Project Manager is tasked with collaborating with commercial and industrial clients to oversee contracted projects. This role involves liaising with sales, engineering, and installation teams to devise solutions for clients while managing labor assignments, budgeting, and material procurement. Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Guide assigned field personnel to successfully complete awarded projects.
  • Implement account management strategies to ensure customer satisfaction while leading a team of resources.
  • Serve as a mentor, providing expertise in systems, installations, and applications to resolve issues and train team members.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes high performance.
  • Assume responsibility for project delivery.
  • Manage a diverse array of workflows.
  • Lead with vision while prioritizing our core values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients to develop, schedule, and communicate updates on contracted projects.
  • Oversee project staffing to ensure timely completion within budgeted labor costs.
  • Promote services by estimating and bidding on new constructions, renovations, retrofits, modifications, and upgrades.
  • Deliver comprehensive and timely proposals based on project specifications or client requirements.
  • Clearly define the scope of work to outline our company's contributions to a complete solution.
  • Review and submit project billing.
  • Manage and maintain necessary project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate and oversee client training sessions.
  • Monitor ongoing work and evaluate employee performance.
  • Review job costs to ensure adherence to budget.
  • Coordinate accurate material orders for projects.
  • Identify and resolve project-related issues.
  • Participate in project meetings.
  • Conduct project reviews upon completion.
  • Engage with industry trade organizations.
  • Continue to develop client relationships.
  • Manage project stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • In-depth understanding of blueprints and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various products and services and their applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio.
  • Skilled in estimating labor and materials for construction projects.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in the construction industry and building automation systems.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in electronic communication.
  • Basic computer skills and keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to pass required background checks for client facility access.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel regionally.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel to client locations and job sites daily.
  • Level 1: Sedentary work.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer.
  • Occasional walking and standing on uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
