We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, Social Media to join our team at Dotdash Meredith. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy that drives brand awareness, increases traffic, and grows our audience.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with editorial teams to plan, design, launch, and manage creative social promotions that support on-site content, community engagement, and larger brand initiatives.
- Track, analyze, and report data and insights on our growth and engagement, interpreting social analytics and reporting to senior management on the "so what?" of all findings.
- Write compelling, social-friendly copy that reflects our brand voice and values, and train the editorial team to write social headlines that drive clicks and engagement across platforms.
- Audit existing social presence and competitive landscape, and evaluate trends to inform and build a targeted strategy for growth, working closely with the DDM social strategy team to stay informed of trends and policies.
- Manage social media contractors who help produce and schedule content as needed.
- 8+ years of demonstrated experience working as a social media professional or community manager for a brand or publication.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Proven track record of driving the strategy for a brand's cohesive social presence across Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, TikTok, Twitter, or other social media accounts.
- Journalism/editorial background strongly preferred.
