Position Overview

As a Culinary Specialist with our team, you will play a vital role in transforming recipes into reality while showcasing your creativity. Surrounded by fresh produce and top-notch equipment, you will delve into a culinary experience that transcends mere food preparation – exploring diverse cuisines, flavors, and cooking techniques.

COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $21.00 to $21.57, influenced by various factors including your skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, previous work experience, market trends, and other pertinent considerations. Additional earnings may include bonuses or commissions, if applicable. This represents Aramark's good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.

If selected, the employee will be in an "at-will position," and Aramark reserves the right to adjust base salary (along with any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, individual performance, team performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities


• Responsibilities may vary by Aramark location based on client needs and business requirements.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following production guidelines and standardized recipes.

• Organize workstation with all necessary ingredients and tools.

• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.

• Safely utilize various utensils, including knives.

• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.

• Employ various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on meats, vegetables, and other foods.

• Present, garnish, and portion food according to established standards.

• Store food properly by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests, clients, and coworkers.

• Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures, ensuring accurate food safety and sanitation practices.

• Safeguard company assets.

Qualifications


• Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role is required.

• Proven knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles, various cooking techniques, and food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.

• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.

• Basic math and counting skills are essential.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
