**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Technical Accounting team in Stamford, CT. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for handling complex life and health reinsurance transactions, ensuring compliance with reinsurance agreements, and providing expert analysis and support to our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage a portfolio of life insurance clients, ensuring timely and accurate premium payments and record-keeping.
  • Perform premium validations, analyze premium fluctuations, and prepare accruals.
  • Ensure treaty compliance down to the policy-level, maintaining relationships with client contacts and resolving complex issues.
  • Assist the claims team with premium-related questions on complex claims and conduct periodic client audits.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of internal process documentation and process improvement, supporting the financial close as requested.

**Requirements**

  • 5-10 years of life and/or health reinsurance technical accounting experience for both assumed and ceded business.
  • Extremely strong organizational, prioritization, documentation, process improvement, and time management skills.
  • Extremely strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Prior experience with financial close processes or willingness to learn, with advanced MS Excel skills required.
  • Experience using PowerBI is a plus, with strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to exercise professional judgment and maintain strict confidentiality, with excellent team player skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and internal colleagues.
