Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Axelia Partners, a global management consulting company. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the delivery of services regarding the daily operations of our clients' employees: benefits administration, payroll, and personnel file maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Payroll setup for clients in coordination with payroll processing companies
  • Follow-up with new hires for completion of legal/required paperwork
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure completeness of information
  • Process weekly/biweekly/bimonthly or monthly salaries payroll, including processing of new hires, terminations, salary changes, garnishments, and other details relating to compensation
  • Verify adequate processing of all quarterly/year-end payroll records and tax forms for clients' employees
  • Prepare census information
  • Administer PTO and medical leave, which includes tracking vacation/leave taken, paying out disability, notifying employees of their rights, and making recommendations regarding policies if required
  • Fill out wage/employment verifications as needed

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in an administrating payroll role for employees in multiple states within a mid-size company
  • Ability to multitask with high attention to detail and strong organizational skills
