Job Summary

The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, analyzing payroll data, and providing insights to support our clients' financial and operational goals. This role will also collaborate with the HR Business Partner team to ensure compliance with company policies and all applicable legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing for all clients, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned workers.
Maintain and update payroll records, including new hires, terminations, promotions, and salary changes.
Audit payroll transactions for accuracy and compliance. Prepare detailed payroll reports for management, finance, and audit purposes.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, as well as company policies. Monitor payroll tax filings, deductions, and contributions (e.g., 401(k), health benefits, etc.).
Conduct payroll trend analysis, track labor costs, and provide recommendations for process improvements or cost-saving measures.
Address employee payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolution to payroll discrepancies.
Collaborate with clients, the HRBP team, and external vendors to manage and improve payroll software systems, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
Support benefit-related deductions, calculations, and compliance, coordinating with the HR team as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
3-5 years of payroll processing experience, preferably in a multi-state small to mid-size organization.
Strong understanding of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, BambooHR, Gusto, or other relevant software) and payroll integration in ERP systems.
Experience with QuickBooks and general accounting skills.
Advanced proficiency in Excel (vLookups, pivot tables, etc.).
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees at all levels.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
