Talascend is in search of a Project Management Controls Analyst to provide support for the energy sector within a reputable construction firm, focusing on a long-term contract opportunity.


Overview:


This role is pivotal in steering the project management controls processes alongside a client project management team, ensuring the successful execution of project objectives within the established budget and timeline.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the initial project setup in the Enterprise Planning & Controls software.
  • Conduct data analysis, review logs, and generate reports utilizing the Enterprise Planning & Controls software or alternative tools.
  • Establish a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Formulate, implement, and sustain comprehensive scheduling reports, cost reports, cash flows, and forecasts across multiple projects.
  • Adhere to project execution strategies.
  • Manage engineering, procurement, and construction planning, scheduling, and cost oversight.
  • Act as a liaison for technical inquiries from the project team.
  • Document and input modifications to cost reports or forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management Team and Accounting Department to assess project costs and contingency expenses, supporting external audits.
  • Review change orders related to upstream (prime contract) and downstream (purchase order & subcontract) activities.
  • Generate and present cash flow reports.
  • Create various levels of project schedules.
  • Apply and assess the integration of logic ties within the schedules.
  • Monitor resource allocation within the project schedule.
  • Facilitate Interactive Project Planning Meetings (IPPM).
  • Develop diverse schedule reports and determine suitable reporting formats.
  • Review and analyze pre-programmed project scheduling reports and supporting documentation for precision.
  • Consult with the project team regarding schedule advancements.
  • Evaluate schedule management utilizing critical path method techniques, estimating, project cost management, and forecasting.
  • Conduct schedule what-if analyses.
  • Establish and maintain an earned value management system.
  • Input and verify progress measurements.
  • Develop and maintain progress curves.
  • Execute material takeoffs.
  • Perform quality checks and inspections on project controls deliverables.
  • Conduct field audits to confirm the accuracy of reporting and processes.
  • Assist with Project Forensic Analysis as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of 3 years of direct project controls experience.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 is essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • OSHA 10-hour safety certification (capable of obtaining).
