Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled International Logistics Coordinator to enhance our operations. This role is crucial in developing, executing, and overseeing logistics strategies to ensure the seamless movement of goods across various channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive logistical efficiency by managing carrier relationships, freight operations, and conducting logistical assessments.
  • Oversee all domestic and international shipping partnerships, ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Manage inbound freight operations to meet established timelines and service expectations.
  • Foster strong partnerships with carriers to support supply chain excellence.
  • Negotiate terms with carriers, brokers, and freight forwarders to secure favorable pricing.
  • Collaborate with service providers to address daily operational needs, including billing and project coordination.
  • Support rate quotations and maintain comprehensive records of pricing inquiries.
  • Coordinate with merchandising teams on product launches to align freight services with organizational goals.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures and efficiency enhancements throughout the supply chain.
  • Assess potential supply chain risks and develop strategies to mitigate disruptions.
  • Utilize data analytics to track supply chain performance and generate actionable insights.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all logistics activities.
  • Monitor shipment tracking and inventory management to meet service requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory and documentation standards for shipping activities.
  • Manage and communicate shipping schedules effectively.
  • Analyze freight and depot activities to support performance metrics and contract negotiations.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Control freight expenditures to align with budgetary goals.
  • Oversee inbound freight operations with a focus on expertise and compliance.
  • Collaborate with merchandising on sourcing initiatives to ensure understanding of import/export regulations.
  • Manage relationships with import brokers and global freight forwarders.
  • Work closely with distribution center management to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Establish performance metrics for freight forwarders to ensure service level agreements are met.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field, with a focus on both international and domestic shipping.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong background in logistics and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience negotiating contracts with ocean carriers and managing high-value agreements.
  • Comprehensive understanding of logistics, freight forwarding, and customs regulations.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal compliance requirements for importing goods.
  • Experience managing domestic truckload operations, including FTL, LTL, and parcel shipping.
  • Proficient in various container types used in ocean shipping.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to quickly adapt to new software systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage deadlines and targets efficiently.
