Restaurant Operations Manager Job Description

Purpose of Your Work

As a Restaurant Operations Manager at Checkers, you will play a critical role in executing the restaurant plan, achieving sales and profit goals, and providing exceptional Guest and Team service. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our restaurants are the 1st Choice for our Guests and Employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet Budgeted Sales and Profits: Manage all aspects of the Profit and Loss Statement (P&L) to ensure financial success.
  • Analyze Data and Develop Plans: Continuously analyze sales and profit data to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase sales and profits.
  • Staffing and Hiring: Determine staffing needs and hire qualified candidates to fill positions.
  • Shift Management: Ensure that shifts are properly staffed to guarantee consistent operations and Guest satisfaction.
  • Training and Development: Train Team Members and Managers on operations, policies, and procedures, as well as Guest service.
  • Complaint Resolution: Identify and respond to complaints and policy/procedure violations.
  • Performance Feedback: Provide regular feedback and coaching to employees on their performance.
  • Restaurant Environment: Ensure that the restaurant is a safe, clean, and fun environment for employees and Guests.

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) - Preferred Food Safety Certified
  • Experience: Over 2 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR)
  • Skills: Basic math skills, Microsoft Office, and general systems experience
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours
  • Energy: High energy to keep up with our fast-paced environment
