Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician 2 to join our Supply Chain team at Staples, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing preventative and spontaneous maintenance on various equipment, including conveyors, electrical motors, and material handling equipment.

In this role, you will work closely with our supply chain team to ensure the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution facilities. You will be responsible for performing general building maintenance, including overhead doors, construction repair, and floor repair.

As a Maintenance Technician 2, you will also be responsible for performing light plumbing maintenance and carpentry assignments as needed. You will work in a fast-paced environment and be required to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and spontaneous maintenance on conveyors, electrical motors, and material handling equipment
  • Perform general building maintenance, including overhead doors, construction repair, and floor repair
  • Perform light plumbing maintenance and carpentry assignments as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and be required to lift, push, or pull boxes/merchandise weighing between 70 pounds and 100 pounds by hand
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ year of related experience
  • Ability to pass a drug screen to the extent legally permissible
  • Ability to work at heights up to 60 feet or more as needed
  • Basic English language skills (both verbal and written)
