Join Our Team as a Metalcasting Industry Sales ManagerWe are seeking a results-driven Metalcasting Industry Sales Manager to represent the American Foundry Society (AFS) in the eastern United States and Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building client relationships, managing sales opportunities, and developing consultative relationships with customers.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a non-profit association that provides valuable services to the metalcasting industry. You will have the chance to utilize your sales and marketing skills to generate revenue and promote the interests of our organization.

Key Accountabilities
  • Sell advertising space in Modern Casting and Casting Source magazines (print and digital) and develop a consultative relationship with customers in assigned territories.
  • Oversee magazine promotions, sales tools, and market research to maximize revenue growth.
  • Manage ad insertions and billing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Cold call new accounts and conduct regular in-person sales visits to customer facilities.
  • Assist Business Development in maximizing revenue for AFS through projects assigned by the VP of Marketing and Business Development or CEO.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or PR preferred; understanding trade/business magazine production is helpful.
  • Understanding the metalcasting industry and its metals and processes is helpful.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Computer knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, email programs, and ability to learn other software programs necessary.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.

Estimated Annual Salary

$70,000 - $90,000 per year,
plus up to 30% commission on sales performance.
