At ilili Restaurants, we are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Wharf location. As a key member of our culinary team, you will work closely with our Executive Chef to plan, organize, and lead daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chef de Cuisine with overall kitchen operations, including prep kitchen management, staff meal, kitchen sanitation, and ordering.
  • Maintain fast, accurate service and positive guest relations, ensuring products meet company and brand quality standards.
  • Source, order, and control perishable and non-perishable inventory for the kitchen.
  • Understand and apply business analytics software to inform sales trends, menu planning, inventory control, and menu decisions.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of management experience in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
  • Strong communication skills in English, with conversational Spanish a plus.
  • Familiarity with inventory and costing software programs, such as ChefTec or Compeat.
  • Understanding of DC health department codes and conduct.
  • Weekends, nights, and holiday availability required.
