Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Executive Chef to join our team at Amparo Fondita. As a key member of our leadership team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that every dish that leaves our kitchen meets the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a passion for creative and innovative Mexican cuisine, a strong leadership style, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily kitchen operations, including planning, organizing, and scheduling staff.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and cooking techniques that showcase the best of Mexican cuisine.
  • Lead a team of chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are trained in food safety and handling procedures, and that the kitchen is maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
  • Work closely with the Culinary Director and other members of the leadership team to develop and implement new menu items, promotions, and events.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stocking of ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the FOH team to ensure seamless service and high-quality guest experiences.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations, including menu development, staff training, and inventory management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff.
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a deep understanding of Mexican cuisine and a passion for creative and innovative cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong commitment to collaboration and communication.
