We are seeking a skilled Transportation Project Manager/Project Engineer (PE) to become a vital part of our reputable civil engineering consulting firm. In this position, you will work closely with engineers, technical experts, and clients to devise innovative solutions for intricate transportation infrastructure issues. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage various components of transportation projects, such as alignment, roadway configurations, intersection designs, sight distance assessments, interchange designs, utility layouts, traffic management plans, signage and striping, roadway drainage, hydraulic evaluations, and right-of-way documentation.
  • Conduct planning analyses, modeling, and hydraulic computations.
  • Create detailed plans and specifications.
  • Compile Preliminary Engineering Reports.
  • Assist in project bidding and oversee construction administration.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members.
  • Engage in business development, lead generation, and contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Exceptional project management capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in contract negotiation and execution.
  • Proficient in developing project budgets and estimates.
  • Proven track record of managing tight project timelines.
  • Able to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Capable of working collaboratively within a team or independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with experts from diverse fields.
  • Proficient in relevant software tools, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Microstation, or other design software as necessary, with the ability to actively engage in design and plan development.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
  • Current Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
