Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Transportation Project Manager/Project Engineer (PE) to enhance our established civil engineering consultancy. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with a team of engineers, technical experts, and clients to devise innovative strategies for intricate transportation infrastructure issues. This position offers a remarkable opportunity for a driven professional aiming for career growth while playing a key role in our expanding projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage various elements of transportation projects, such as alignment, roadway design, intersection configurations, sight distance assessments, interchange designs, utility layouts, traffic management plans, signage and pavement markings, roadway drainage, hydraulic analysis, and right-of-way documentation.
- Conduct planning analyses, modeling, and hydraulic evaluations.
- Create detailed plans and specifications.
- Compile Preliminary Engineering Reports.
- Assist in project bidding and oversee construction management.
- Guide and mentor junior staff members.
- Engage in business development initiatives, lead generation, and contribute to proposals, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Exceptional project management capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to facilitate contract negotiations and implementations.
- Proficient in developing project budgets and estimates.
- Proven track record of managing tight project timelines.
- Skilled in prioritizing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
- Able to work effectively both in teams and independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills for successful collaboration with professionals from diverse fields.
- Proficient in relevant software tools, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, BlueBeam, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Microstation, or other design applications, with the capability to actively engage in design and plan formulation.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience.
- Current Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
