Position Overview:
J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to join our dynamic construction team. As a prominent engineering firm in the Intermountain West, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional services that empower our clients while fostering a rewarding work environment for our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Monitoring all aspects of contractor operations to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and industry standards.
  • Overseeing the construction of diverse municipal and private projects, encompassing water, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation, transportation, structural work, and earthmoving.
  • Collaborating with independent testing laboratories to conduct material assessments.
  • Ensuring quality control by analyzing testing reports and documentation.
  • Calculating and verifying payment quantities, material usage, and project metrics.
  • Documenting project progress through detailed construction diaries, photographs, and reports.
  • Coordinating construction efforts with utility providers, governmental agencies, property owners, and contractors.
  • Depending on qualifications, additional responsibilities may include CAD design, drafting, or surveying support.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of years in Construction Observation or related experience in the construction sector is preferred.
  • Certification from the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC) is highly desirable.
  • Idaho Transportation Department's Inspector Qualification Program (IQP) certifications are preferred or to be obtained upon hiring.
  • ICC certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in CAD design or surveying is beneficial but not essential.
  • Familiarity with federally funded project administration is a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills in consensus building and collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as project needs arise.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $30 - $45 per hour, based on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, J-U-B offers an attractive benefits package, including performance bonuses for eligible employees, within a collaborative and supportive work culture.
