J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. (J-U-B) is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector to play a vital role in our construction team at our Meridian, ID office. As a leading professional engineering firm in the Intermountain West, J-U-B provides innovative solutions that empower our clients to thrive while fostering a rewarding environment for our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all stages of contractor activities, procedures, and progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and standards.
  • Oversee the construction of various municipal/public and private projects, including water, wastewater, stormwater, irrigation, airports, roadways, structures, bridges, and earthworks.
  • Collaborate with independent testing laboratories to conduct assessments on diverse materials.
  • Ensure quality control/assurance by analyzing testing reports.
  • Calculate, review, and confirm pay quantities, computations, and materials.
  • Prepare and review project construction diaries, photographs, testing data, reports, and summaries for project documentation.
  • Coordinate construction activities with utility companies, municipalities, state agencies, property owners, and contractors.
  • If applicable, perform additional tasks such as CAD design, drafting, or providing surveying assistance in the field or office.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of years of experience in Construction Observation or related fields is preferred.
  • Certification from the Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction (WAQTC) is highly desirable.
  • Idaho Transportation Department's Inspector Qualification Program (IQP) certifications are preferred or must be obtained upon hiring.
  • ICC certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience in CAD design and/or surveying is beneficial but not required.
  • Familiarity with the management of federally funded projects is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated skills in consensus building.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.
  • Willingness to travel as project locations require.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $27 - $39 per hour, determined by experience.
