About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Clay Healthcare Center, a member of the CommuniCare Family of Companies. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities that promote socialization, community involvement, and overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized activity plans that promote resident engagement and satisfaction.
  • Provide support and assistance to residents with daily living activities, as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity outcomes.
  • Participate in staff training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge in recreational therapy and social engagement.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior work experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in recreational therapy or social engagement.
  • Basic computer literacy and skills, including proficiency in related software applications.
  • Active state driver's license required.
