About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Psychologist (Neuropsychologist) to join our team at the VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION. As a Staff Psychologist (Neuropsychologist), you will be responsible for providing clinical neuropsychological services to patients, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical neuropsychological evaluations, including assessments and diagnoses, to identify cognitive and behavioral deficits in patients.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with neurological and psychological disorders, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide education and training on neuropsychological topics, promoting patient understanding and empowerment.
  • Participate in research activities and contribute to the development of new treatments and interventions, advancing the field of neuropsychology.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient care and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited graduate program.
  • Licensure to practice psychology in the state of employment.
  • Experience in clinical neuropsychology, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective treatment plans.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology.
  • Experience in utilizing fixed battery approach and flexible process approach in completing neuropsychological evaluations.
  • Experience in providing neuropsychological consultation on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • Experience in providing rehabilitation neuropsychological consultation on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
  • Experience in providing full-scale civil forensic neuropsychological evaluations on an outpatient basis.
