Position Overview:

YAI is seeking a dedicated Receptionist to manage the front desk and assist with various office management responsibilities. This role is crucial for ensuring a welcoming environment for visitors and maintaining efficient office operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome visitors upon arrival and guide them to the appropriate personnel or office.
  • Ensure office security by adhering to safety protocols and managing access at the reception area.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and direct them to the relevant departments.
  • Provide accurate information to visitors and callers in person and through phone or email.
  • Organize and maintain both digital and physical filing systems for the Office Manager and Vocational Supervisors.
  • Handle the receipt, sorting, and distribution of daily mail and deliveries.
  • Monitor and manage office supply inventory.
  • Assist in preparing materials for fundraising events.
  • Perform additional clerical tasks such as faxing, photocopying, and preparing correspondence as required.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required; additional certification in Office Management is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative, or in a similar capacity.
  • Strong customer service skills and a professional telephone demeanor.
Compensation: $16.50 per hour
