Manufacturing Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking an organized and experienced manufacturing quality assurance specialist to join our growing organization. This position involves improving existing procedures and processes within our system, collaborating with team members to build new quality controls, tests, and verifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing control systems for quality assurance, including excellent metrology skills and proficiency with reading blueprints, GD&T principles, interpretation and application.
- Preparing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports using PWA's version of Net Inspect for inspectors' use as well as to evaluate and approve them prior to customer final submittal and disposition.
- Generating in-process and final inspection method sheets and documentation defining and utilizing proper inspection methods and techniques used throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintaining AS9100/ISO9001 & ASQR-01 Quality Management Systems, functioning as a technical liaison and resource in the areas of quality systems and document control.
- Solid knowledge of the PWA UPPAP and Process Certification programs, Key Characteristics, Process Controls, SPC, Gage R&R, Process Plans, and PFMEA's.
- General knowledge of CMM PC-DMIS programs and library storage.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of AS9100C and ISO9001-2008 standards, including internal auditing of the company QMS.
- Prior experience as DQR (holding stamps) or willingness to undergo DQR training and become certified for major turbine engine OEMs and PWA LCS/MCL System.
- Well-rounded knowledge of machining, manufacturing practices, and special processes (heat treat, NDT's, coating, plating, etc).
- Ability to utilize and perform various inspections, plate layout using various types of inspection equipment.
