Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team at Enjet Aero, LLC. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our jet engine parts, components, and assemblies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, inspection methods, and quality control systems. You will be responsible for improving existing procedures and processes within our system, collaborating with team members to build new quality controls, tests, and verifications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Metrology Skills: Excellent metrology skills, proficient with reading blueprints, GD&T principles, interpretation and application, working knowledge of SPC, and the ability to analyze and summarize data into a management format.
  • AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports: Prepare AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports using PWA's version of Net Inspect for inspectors use as well as to evaluate and approve them prior to customer final submittal and disposition.
  • In-Process and Final Inspection Method Sheets: Generate in-process and final inspection method sheets and documentation defining and utilizing proper inspection methods and techniques used throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Quality Management Systems: Support maintenance of AS9100/ISO9001 & ASQR-01 Quality Management Systems. Function as a technical liaison and resource in the areas of quality systems and document control.
  • Idea Implementation: Identify and implement ideas that will improve inspection methods and enhance the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
  • PWA UPPAP and Process Certification Programs: Solid knowledge of the PWA UPPAP and Process Certification programs, Key Characteristics, Process Controls, SPC, Gage R&R, Process Plans, and PFMEA's.
  • CMM PC-DMIS Programs: General knowledge of CMM PC-DMIS programs and library storage.
  • Audit Activities: Support internal and external audit activities as well as perform internal QMS audits.
  • Customer Contractual Quality Reviews: Participate in customer contractual quality reviews and flow down of, to ensure compliance throughout internal manufacturing processes and supplier purchase order requirements.
  • Non-Conforming Product Control: Maintains control of non-conforming product and MRB Inventory; leads Root Cause Analysis with a focus on improving and sustaining quality manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

  • Quality Standards Knowledge: Working knowledge of AS9100C and ISO standards including internal auditing of the company QMS.
  • DQR Training: Prior experience as DQR (holding stamps), and/or must have the desire to undergo DQR training, and become DQR certified for major turbine engine OEM as well as PWA LCS/MCL System, as a CLCSR or equivalent.
  • Machining and Manufacturing Practices: Well-rounded knowledge of machining (turning & milling), manufacturing practices and special processes (heat treat, NDT's, coating, plating, etc).
  • Inspection Equipment: Ability to utilize and perform various inspections, plate layout using various types of inspection equipment.
  • Microsoft Office: Experience with Microsoft Office programs required.
  • Brown & Sharpe Manual CMM: Experience with Brown & Sharpe manual CMM and software program a plus.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; a solutions-orientated team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • CAD Modeling: Ability to understand and interpret CAD models, working knowledge of CAD modeling a plus.
