Key Responsibilities
  • Service: Provide exceptional patient care and service, responding to patient and family needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operations and Finance: Collaborate with the Nursing Director and Administrator to develop and maintain systems for collecting information to measure unit productivity, monitor management reports, and analyze budget information.
  • Data Management: Manage relevant databases, promote security of information, and maintain and audit data to ensure quality control of systems.
  • Human Resources: Supervise the daily activities of the Unit Coordinator, oversee personnel changes, and ensure completion of annual regulatory requirements.
  • Materials Management/Equipment: Coordinate and maintain systems for inventory control, purchasing, and equipment management.
  • Quality: Collaborate with the Nursing Director to keep the unit regulatory ready and participate in quality improvement projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1-2 years of healthcare or related experience.
  • Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills required.
Working Conditions
  • Busy patient care environment with potential exposure to infectious disease.
  • Lifting of supplies weighing approximately 20 pounds.
  • Flexibility of work hours, including weekends and coverage of other units.
