Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at iJility. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the flow of goods through our facility, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of inbound, quality, and outbound operations.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Operations Management

  • Manage the receipt, inspection, and sorting of inbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Monitor and analyze inbound workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.

Quality Control and Assurance

  • Establish and maintain quality standards for all inbound and outbound products, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Oversee the quality assurance team to ensure all goods meet specified quality criteria before processing.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and training programs for staff to ensure consistent adherence to standards.

Outbound Operations Management

  • Lead the outbound team in the accurate and timely processing, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Ensure all outbound operations meet customer delivery expectations and iJility's performance metrics.
  • Manage the coordination between departments to ensure smooth and efficient outbound processes, minimizing delays and errors.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Supervise and develop a team of supervisors and frontline associates, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained and understand their roles and responsibilities within the deconsolidation process.

Operational Efficiency and Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency across all departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing costs, improving service levels, and maximizing throughput.
  • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety within the facility.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Reporting and Communication

  • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including inbound, quality, and outbound metrics, to senior management.
  • Maintain clear and open communication with all stakeholders, including cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment and coordination.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
  • Proven experience in managing inbound, quality control, and outbound operations.

Skills and Attributes

  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on developing and motivating employees.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for operational details.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.

Working Conditions

  • The role involves working in a warehouse environment with regular exposure to varying temperatures.
  • Standing, walking, and moving heavy items may be required.
  • The position may require working during off-peak hours, including nights and weekends, especially during peak seasons.
