Job Overview

iJility is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to oversee and optimize the flow of goods through our facility. This role is critical in maintaining high standards of operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inbound Operations
    • Manage the receipt, inspection, and sorting of inbound shipments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
    • Monitor and analyze inbound workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Quality Control
    • Establish and maintain quality standards for all inbound and outbound products, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
    • Oversee the quality assurance team to ensure all goods meet specified quality criteria before processing.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures and training programs for staff.
  • Outbound Operations
    • Lead the outbound team in accurate and timely processing, packing, and shipping of orders.
    • Ensure all outbound operations meet customer delivery expectations and iJility's performance metrics.
    • Coordinate with departments to ensure smooth and efficient outbound processes.
  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and develop a team of supervisors and frontline associates, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and continuous improvement.
    • Ensure all staff are adequately trained and understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Operational Efficiency
    • Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on reducing costs, improving service levels, and maximizing throughput.
    • Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety.
    • Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, including inbound, quality, and outbound metrics.
    • Maintain clear and open communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
    • Proven experience in managing inbound, quality control, and outbound operations.
