Job Title: Senior Product Manager, PowerBidder Pro

Stem US Operations Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to lead the PowerBidder Pro application. As a key member of our product management team, you will be responsible for owning and growing the PowerBidder Pro application, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders and SMEs to ensure the delivery of cutting-edge features to our customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute the product roadmap for PowerBidder Pro, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and energy transition needs.
  • Own and prioritize the technical product backlog for PowerBidder Pro, driving the development of products that meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Assess and address technical risks and delivery risks to ensure timely delivery of products and features.
  • Participate in agile processes and ceremonies within the software development team, adhering to high standards for automation, quality, and transparency/observability.
  • Collaborate with UX designers to create a clean and intuitive user interface that conforms to Stem's design standards.
  • Work with the engineering team to design supporting software systems.
  • Collaborate with peers working on forecasting, simulation, and optimization products to ensure alignment and compatibility between PowerBidder Pro and major supporting software services.
  • Develop strategies and business models around monetization of PowerBidder Pro and its enhanced feature sets.
  • Work with product marketing to develop collateral that can be used with customers and the general public to project Stem's leadership and differentiation in wholesale optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical trends in the energy industry and conduct competitive market assessments and capability assessments regularly.
  • Provide internal training and present to customers on PowerBidder Pro's capabilities.
  • Answer incoming questions about the product and its capabilities.
  • Analyze key performance indicators and report on these indicators at a regular cadence to the Vice President of Optimization Products.
  • Foster a strong technical culture characterized by high-quality implementations, effective organizational communication, decisiveness, and speed.
  • Establish effective and collaborative cross-functional working relationships with peers, developers, and operations teams.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering industry-leading user-facing software products.
  • Electric power industry domain experience with demonstrated understanding of wholesale power markets, with a strong preference for operational experience in asset management or energy trading.
  • Prior work with cross-functional product development teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations.
  • Experience working in an Agile engineering organization.
  • Experience defining business models and go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience participating in and leading commercial discussions with customers' leadership teams.
  • Power user of JIRA, Confluence.
  • Extraordinary communication skills, and able to present on complex technical topics to non-technical audiences.
  • Empathy: driven to uncover customer needs and pain points, and able to channel those insights into user-centric product development.
  • Intellectually curious: interested in understanding and experimenting with new cutting-edge technologies.
  • Decisiveness: able to gather data and make informed, critical decisions quickly.
  • Experience in full life cycle agile engineering practices ranging from concept, design, development, and QA to continuous release and maintenance.

Salary Range:

$142,750.00 - $200,000.00
