Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager is a critical role responsible for delivering comprehensive Human Resources related programs, support, and services. This individual must maintain current knowledge of legal requirements, be able to resolve complex Human Resources issues, analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions, consult with site leadership, and provide overall Human Resources guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and facilitate the recruitment process from headcount approval to induction, with a focus on delivering high-quality candidates to meet the company's growth needs.
  • Responsible for all on-site HR systems, policies, procedures, and support administration, ensuring seamless integration with Global HR and site leadership teams.
  • Partner with Global HR and site leadership teams to implement HR best practices, driving business outcomes and improving employee engagement.
  • Provide administrative support for the company benefits systems and assist in the development of these benefits, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all policies, procedures, and practices are compliant regarding Employment Laws available to all employees and managers.
  • Provide guidance and support on the selection and implementation of Learning and Development (L&D) programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Responsible for working with L&D to establish and implement L&D strategy and training plans, driving business outcomes and improving employee skills.
  • Take a leadership role in building and maintaining a great company culture, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Take a proactive role in ensuring employee needs are addressed, providing timely and effective support to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Provide support to the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) function on site as needed to ensure legal obligations are met and a safety-driven culture is maintained.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Proactive management of employee relations issues, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Execute other tasks as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • 6 years general Human Resources experience, with a minimum of 2 years as a Human Resource Manager or Human Resources Business Partner.
  • Experience leading and developing direct reports, with a proven track record of success.
  • Prior industrial relations experience, with a strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • A background in manufacturing preferred, with a strong understanding of the industry and its challenges.
  • A confident self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative, with excellent organization, relationship building, and influencing skills.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices, with technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS (Paylocity experience a plus).
  • Payroll experience a plus, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and compliance.
  • Awareness of and prior experience with implementing Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus, with prior Lean/Six Sigma experience also a plus.
