Overview:


The Corporate Aviation Maintenance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the airworthiness and operational efficiency of aircraft managed by Honda Motors' Corporate Flight division.

Key Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Flight Department Coordination Manager, the Corporate Aviation Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring the airworthiness of assigned aircraft and coordinating all necessary activities to facilitate the safe and timely departure of corporate flights.


  • Conducts both scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems and components following established methods and practices.
  • Records all maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory and corporate flight operation standards.
  • Exhibits proficiency in the techniques, tools, and equipment utilized during aircraft maintenance.
  • Safeguards and maintains parts and components undergoing maintenance in accordance with regulatory and company policies.
  • Ensures that all installed parts, products, and materials comply with regulatory standards.
  • Performs all tasks safely and effectively while maintaining a clean and organized work environment in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Guarantees aircraft airworthiness and readiness for scheduled missions.
  • Oversees aircraft maintenance compliance tracking and scheduling.
  • Adheres to FAA regulations and company policies.
  • Assists with Corporate Flight Operations as required, including:
o Line service activities such as aircraft preparation, fueling, and marshaling.

o AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support.

  • Participates in Honda Motors' Safety Management System.
Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certification, and/or Licensure:

Required Qualifications:

  • A&P Certification in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65 from an FAA-approved Part 147 School.
  • Experience with 14 CFR Part 43 is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of aviation experience is required, with corporate flight department experience preferred.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.

Desired Qualifications:

  • IA Certification.
  • FAA Dispatch license and/or Pilot license.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to communicate effectively via air-to-ground and ground-to-ground radio, as well as other communication methods.
  • Interpersonal skills essential for collaboration with diverse individuals, departments, and organizations, including Honda Motors customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and service-oriented with a keen attention to detail.
  • Capability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage pressure, including time constraints and challenging situations.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software (CAMP & Schedaero), Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance requirements and inspection procedures.
  • Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and process specifications, and follow the sequence of planned operations.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and travel to off-site locations requiring overnight stays with little notice as necessary.

Physical Requirements:

  • Incumbents may frequently encounter operational noise, temperature variations, dust, and/or odors from aircraft equipment, parts, or fuel.
  • Incumbents may need to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, climb ladders, move, reach, or stretch for extended periods as required by job duties.
  • Work must be performed safely and professionally while adhering to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations, etc.).
  • Ability to comprehend and follow management directions and safety instructions without restrictions.
  • Ability to read, hear, speak, and see without restrictions, as required by job duties.
  • Effective communication in Business English is essential.
  • Ability to pull, push, carry, lift, or move materials/items/equipment weighing 50 lbs or more during the work shift, utilizing company-provided assistive technology as necessary.
