Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Flight Department Coordination Manager, the Corporate Aviation Maintenance Specialist is responsible for:
- Maintaining airworthiness for assigned aircraft and coordinating all necessary activities to ensure safe and timely departures.
- Conducting scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems in accordance with industry standards.
- Documenting all work performed in compliance with regulatory and corporate policies.
- Demonstrating proficiency with maintenance methods, tools, and equipment.
- Identifying and preserving components undergoing maintenance as per regulatory and company policies.
- Ensuring that all installed parts and materials meet regulatory standards.
- Performing tasks safely and effectively while maintaining good housekeeping practices.
- Ensuring aircraft readiness for planned missions.
- Tracking maintenance compliance and scheduling.
- Adhering to FAA regulations and company policies.
- Supporting Corporate Flight Operations as needed, including line service tasks such as aircraft preparation, fueling, and marshaling.
- Providing AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support.
- Participating in Honda Aircraft Company's Safety Management System.
Education and Experience:
- A&P Certification in accordance with 14 CFR Part 65 from an accredited FAR Part 147 School is required.
- Experience with 14 CFR Part 43 is necessary.
- A minimum of 2 years of aviation experience is required, with preference given to candidates with corporate flight department experience.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Desired Qualifications:
- IA Certification.
- FAA Dispatch license and/or Pilot license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective communication skills for air-to-ground and ground-to-ground radio communication.
- Interpersonal skills to collaborate with various individuals and departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Organizational skills, self-motivation, and a service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and work under pressure.
- Familiarity with maintenance software (CAMP & Schedaero), Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office products.
- Thorough understanding of aircraft maintenance requirements and inspection procedures.
- Ability to interpret work orders, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and process specifications.
- Willingness to work extended hours and travel to off-site locations as required.
Physical Requirements:
Incumbents may be routinely exposed to operational noise, temperature variations, and odors from aircraft equipment and fuel. The role may require standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting materials or equipment weighing 50 lbs or more. Adherence to all regulatory requirements (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, State, and Federal regulations) is essential.
