Position Overview

Summary:

The Corporate Aviation Technician at Honda North America operates within a certified FAR 145 Repair Station, undertaking designated maintenance responsibilities along with necessary inspections, functional checks, and troubleshooting of aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts both scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs of airframe and powerplant systems and components following industry-standard methods and practices.
  • Records all maintenance activities in compliance with regulatory and quality assurance protocols.
  • Exhibits expertise in the techniques, tools, and equipment utilized in aircraft maintenance.
  • Safeguards and maintains components and parts undergoing maintenance in accordance with company policies.
  • Ensures that all installed parts and materials comply with regulatory standards.
  • Executes assigned tasks safely and effectively while maintaining a clean work environment in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Provides comprehensive handovers for any unfinished maintenance tasks at shift changes.
Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a FAR Part 145 Repair Station setting, specifically in the maintenance of general and/or business aviation aircraft is required.
  3. A&P Certification is essential, obtained from a recognized FAR Part 147 institution.
  4. Experience with 14 CFR Part 43 is necessary.
  5. Familiarity with 14 CFR Parts 91, 135, and 145 is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies:
  1. Proficient in maintenance management software (e.g., Quantum, Corridor, SAP), as well as Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  2. In-depth understanding of aircraft maintenance standards and inspection protocols.
  3. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  4. Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  5. Capability to perform under pressure, including tight deadlines and challenging scenarios.
  6. Adept at interpreting work orders, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and process specifications, and following the sequence of planned operations.
  7. Willingness to work extended hours and travel to off-site locations with minimal notice as required.
Physical Demands:
  1. Employees may frequently encounter operational noise, temperature variations, dust, and odors from aircraft components and fuel.
  2. Ability to stand, sit, squat, walk, bend, move, reach, or stretch for extended periods as dictated by job responsibilities.
  3. Commitment to working safely and professionally while adhering to all regulatory standards (FAA, OSHA, DOT, EPA, etc.).
  4. Ability to read, hear, speak, and see without restrictions as required by job functions.
  5. Comprehension and adherence to management directives and safety protocols without limitations.
  6. Effective communication in Business English is essential.
  7. Capability to lift, carry, or move items up to 50 lbs throughout the work shift without assistance, as required by job duties.
  8. Ability to lift or move heavier items (50 lbs or more) using company-provided assistance technology as necessary.
