Position Summary
We are seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Specialist to become an integral part of Kane Realty Corporation. This role involves collaborating with a team responsible for the comprehensive maintenance and operational needs of our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks.
- Repair and maintain structures including showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and exteriors.
- Prepare units for new residents.
- Possess knowledge of HVAC systems, including maintenance, repair, and replacement.
- Be available for 24-hour emergency maintenance on a pre-scheduled basis.
- Work some weekends as required.
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities.
- Manage grounds upkeep, including litter collection, sweeping, and light landscaping.
- Oversee pool maintenance.
- Assist with special projects as directed by the maintenance supervisor or property manager.
Qualifications:
The Facilities Maintenance Specialist must exhibit professionalism and courtesy towards residents, visitors, contractors, and colleagues.
Ability to follow both oral and written instructions is essential.
A strong attention to detail and the capability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day are required.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Prior maintenance experience in multi-family housing settings.
- HVAC Certification (CFC certification) and CPO certification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are necessary.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening.
