Overview: We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Electrical Engineering Lead, focusing on the execution of innovative generation projects. The selected individual will be responsible for overseeing technical aspects and ensuring project success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical authority for New Generation Projects, acting as the primary liaison with Owner's Engineers for project documentation and integration.
  • Provide guidance and expertise to project managers on intricate topics, facilitating their understanding and addressing potential impacts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical specifications, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project scope and system interactions.
  • Collaborate with design engineering to interpret design intent, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, operability, maintainability, and safety standards.
  • Assist contractors and construction coordinators in accessing existing documentation for design and installation tasks.
  • Conduct engineering inspections of new equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with manufacturer requirements and industry standards.
  • Coordinate engineering walkdowns and technical inspections requested by contractors.
  • Participate in system evaluations and the generation of punch lists.
  • Develop plans and specifications, perform analyses, and generate reports related to the design and construction of new facilities or the operation and maintenance of existing ones.

Responsibilities are diverse and complex, often extending beyond assigned duties. The role requires advanced skills across multiple areas, with the ability to resolve intricate issues impacting business operations. The individual will make independent decisions within their area of responsibility, with their opinions significantly influencing policy and strategy.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide comprehensive guidance and training to enhance designs, systems, processes, and cost efficiencies.
  • Effectively manage conflicts and prioritize tasks to deliver optimal solutions aligned with company objectives.
  • Influence engineering, procurement, contracting, and construction processes to optimize project outcomes.
  • Create and update engineering standards and ensure compliance with established policies.
  • Act as a resource for less experienced team members, directing technical complexities of work.
  • Lead assignments, ensuring effective planning and prioritization.
  • Engage with stakeholders regarding zoning, subdivision, and engineering regulations.
  • Deliver technical presentations to various audiences, including elected officials and public groups.
  • Oversee operational aspects while contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers in project execution.
  • Serve as a liaison with other departments and organizations.
  • Define quality requirements for engineering designs and projects.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for projects of varying sizes.
  • Review proposed changes to engineering standards and guidelines.
  • Conduct field surveys to gather essential data.
  • Prepare and interpret technical schematics and drawings.
  • Develop innovative solutions based on thorough research and technical expertise.
Qualifications:

For Lead Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 4 years as an Engineer.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Professional Engineer designation.

For Senior Engineer:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and a PE.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience, including at least 3 years as an Engineer.
  • Valid Driver's License.
