Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Infrastructure Analyst to join our team at VISX Corporation. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and security systems.
  • Data Center Operations: Provide Tier I/II support to our data center environments, including site recoverability of our primary data center.
  • Infrastructure Lifecycle Management: Assume ownership of the complete lifecycle of infrastructure systems, including assessment, design, builds, post-installation support, and deployments.
  • Technical Documentation: Document adjustments made to hardware and software, as well as provide documentation for new systems as needed.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Maintain system performance to industry standards and generate/review engineering change requests for acquisitions and integration of network-related equipment and software.
  • Project Management: Participate in the project management lifecycle for development and designs of complex network-centric solutions to meet mission demands for the Emergency Communications Network (ECN) Program.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with senior technical staff and management to promote project management best practices and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess advanced knowledge of technical principles, theories, standards, practices, and procedures, including disaster recovery and backup technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills with proficiency in composition, proofreading, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Availability: Be willing to perform on-call duty and ensure availability to work non-standard hours.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent training and experience.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of related experience, with a strong background in network infrastructure management, data center operations, and project management.
  • Technical Skills: Possess working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, HPE server infrastructure, VMWare ESXI, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Microsoft ADFS, SQL Administration, SecureID-RSA, Tenable Security Center, Tenable Nessus, and Symantec DLP.
  • Desired Skills: Bonus working knowledge of Forescout, Crowdstrike, BMC Footprints, Carbon Black, Cohesity, SecureID-RSA, Microsoft Certificate Authority, Verasec:CMS, Cisco Meeting Server, Cisco TelePresence Management Suite, Juvare WebEOC, Wasp Asset Manager, and Ivanti Security Controls.
  • Physical Requirements: Possess a valid driver's license and be willing to undergo a pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen.
