Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for capturing water-related design-build and construction work within an assigned geographical region. This role requires a high degree of entrepreneurship, growth mindset, and leadership in pursuing work that best fits Kiewit's objectives in Water.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage clients, vendors, partners, and 3rd party engineers to establish a sales pipeline and achieve capture goals within an assigned region.
- Lead client visits and presentations with key business stakeholders, and participate in industry conferences to drive growth.
- Provide direction and coaching to engineering and marketing teams to develop collateral content and drive business growth.
- Coordinate with Business Line Managers to achieve desired outcomes on pursuits and provide VOC into proposals and presentations.
- Monitor and analyze the competition regionally and provide real-time input to business leaders on noteworthy shifts by the competition.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, and/or Engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years in the engineering and construction industry, preferably in the municipal water industry, coupled with demonstrated sales experience.
Work Environment:
This role requires occasional travel within the state and the East Coast up to Virginia, with occasional trips for conferences and internal business development summits throughout North America.
