Position Overview: The Senior Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while supporting the Accounting Department in various capacities. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can follow directives and execute essential responsibilities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify and document financial transactions to maintain the integrity of accounting information.
  • Compile and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Oversee the general ledger, including account setup and posting activities.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, managing tasks outlined in the closing checklist.
  • Prepare monthly billing statements and record revenue in compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Upload billing information into required third-party EDI systems.
  • Generate month-end COGS entries related to sold products.
  • Record and reconcile transactions between affiliated companies.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations, ensuring alignment between subledgers and the general ledger.
  • Review internal financial reports and analyze discrepancies against forecasts.
  • Support sales and use tax audits as necessary.
  • Continuously assess and enhance internal controls and procedures.
  • Provide necessary documentation for audit processes.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding organizational financial information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA track is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of general accounting experience is required.
  • Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting practices.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision or similar accounting software is preferred.
  • Proficient in data integration between various systems.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn third-party systems utilized in daily operations.
Compensation: The annual salary range for this role is between $80,000 and $85,000. The Ladders also provides a discretionary annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package, which includes vacation time, health benefits, a 401k plan with a 100% match, paid holidays, and more.
