Company Overview

Century Group is collaborating with a client in search of a Senior Cost Accountant to enhance their financial team.

Compensation

The compensation package is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's skills, experience, and geographical location. The anticipated starting base salary ranges from $110,000 to $125,000 annually.

Job Responsibilities

- Execute the month-end closing procedures and assess account reconciliations.
- Oversee, report, and reconcile inventory along with cost of sales accounting records.
- Conduct thorough analysis and review of inventory sub-ledgers and the general ledger.
- Evaluate manufacturing overhead calculations and analyses related to inventory.
- Complete month-end journal entries pertaining to inventory, cost of goods sold (COGS), fixed assets, and general accounting.
- Prepare flux analysis for inventory, accrued liabilities, cost of sales, and other designated general ledger accounts.
- Generate various cost accounting reports for presentation to senior management.

Qualifications

- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting within public or private sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with accounting software such as SAP and ERP is preferred.

Experience

- Comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished products and cost of sales.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Cost Accounting Standards is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
