Position Overview: The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is in search of a proficient and passionate Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon to enhance our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Classification Title: AST/ASO/FULL PROF - Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon

Role Description: This position offers an opportunity for tenure track or multi-mission track, depending on the applicant's qualifications and interests. Candidates must possess specific training or experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery. Additional desirable clinical skills include expertise in facial trauma, general pediatric reconstruction, facial/scalp reconstruction, and/or facial aesthetics.

The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of esteemed plastic surgeons known for their excellence in patient care, working within a cutting-edge academic medical center dedicated to advancing pediatric healthcare.

Interdisciplinary Center: UF Health features a specialized pediatric craniofacial center, serving as a regional referral site for various craniofacial conditions, including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, and vascular anomalies.

Educational Commitment: The Division of Plastic Surgery is committed to the education of trainees, and the new surgeon will play an integral role in both the integrated residency and independent fellowship training programs.

Compensation: Salary is negotiable and will be determined based on education and experience.

Qualifications: Candidates must hold a medical degree and be board certified or eligible in plastic surgery. Fellowship training in pediatric craniofacial surgery is required unless the candidate has gained substantial experience through practice. A strong dedication to patient care and education, along with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment, is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected.

Preferred Qualifications: A history of scholarly contributions and active engagement with professional organizations related to pediatric craniofacial surgery is preferred.
