Position Overview:
The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is actively seeking a highly qualified and passionate Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon to enhance our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The rank and tenure status will be contingent upon the candidate's educational background and professional experience, with options for tenure track or multi-mission track based on individual interests.
Essential Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess specific training or experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery. Additional preferred competencies include expertise in facial trauma, general pediatric reconstruction, facial/scalp reconstruction, and facial aesthetics. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a distinguished team of plastic surgeons renowned for their commitment to exceptional patient care within a cutting-edge academic medical center.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in the integrated residency and independent fellowship training programs.
- Contribute to the interdisciplinary pediatric craniofacial center, a regional referral site for various craniofacial conditions.
Compensation:
Salary is negotiable and will be determined based on the candidate's education and experience.
Requirements:
This position necessitates a medical degree and board certification or eligibility in plastic surgery. Fellowship subspecialty training in pediatric craniofacial surgery is required unless the candidate has acquired substantial experience through training and practice. A strong commitment to patient care and education, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team, is essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected.

We prefer candidates with a proven record of scholarly contributions and active engagement with professional organizations relevant to pediatric craniofacial surgery.
