Position Overview: Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon

The Department of Surgery at the University of Florida is actively seeking a proficient and committed Craniofacial Plastic Surgeon to enhance our Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Essential Qualifications:

Applicants must possess specific training or experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery. Additional desirable clinical skills include expertise in facial trauma, general pediatric reconstruction, facial/scalp reconstruction, and/or facial aesthetics. The successful candidate will integrate into a team of esteemed plastic surgeons known for their excellence in patient care, working within a cutting-edge academic medical center dedicated to advancing pediatric healthcare.

Clinical and Educational Commitment:

The new surgeon will be an integral part of a dedicated interdisciplinary pediatric craniofacial center, which serves as a regional referral site for children with various craniofacial conditions, including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, and vascular anomalies. The Division of Plastic Surgery is committed to the education of trainees, and the new faculty member will play a vital role in both the integrated residency and independent fellowship training programs.

Compensation:

Salary will be negotiable, reflecting the candidate's education and experience.

Required Credentials:

Applicants must hold a medical degree and be board certified or eligible in plastic surgery. Fellowship training in pediatric craniofacial surgery is required unless the candidate's training and/or practice have provided substantial experience in this area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong dedication to patient care and education, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are also essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

We prefer candidates with a proven record of scholarly contributions and active engagement in professional organizations relevant to pediatric craniofacial surgery.
