Position: Residential Youth Support Specialist

Job Overview:
Join our dedicated team as a Residential Youth Support Specialist, where you will play a vital role in guiding and nurturing at-risk youth in a residential environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to residents, modeling appropriate behaviors and managing crises effectively.
  • Implement engaging social and recreational activities, fostering resident participation in programming.
  • Deliver essential services, including daily living skills, meal preparation, hygiene practices, and recreational activities.
  • Act as a positive role model, offering emotional support during challenging moments.
  • Facilitate structured routines with intentional planning and participation in pre-shift meetings.
  • Apply knowledge of risk and protective factors, as well as mental health principles, in executing the residential treatment model.
  • Document service delivery and behavior-related incidents promptly and professionally.
  • Seek ongoing supervision, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Connect program policies to daily operations and decision-making.

Qualifications:
To qualify, candidates should possess an associate or bachelor's degree, or 60 college credits, or have two years of full-time experience working with children. A combination of education and experience in human services totaling two years is also acceptable.
