Job Summary

Amalgamated Bank, a socially responsible financial institution, seeks a skilled Commercial Banking Relationship Manager to provide exceptional client service and support in our Commercial Banking office in New York. This role involves working with clients to understand their treasury management needs, providing expert advice on product and service offerings, and ensuring seamless account transitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, resolving issues and providing expert advice on treasury management needs.
  • Consult with clients to make recommendations on product and service offerings, ensuring alignment with their business goals.
  • Ensure Commercial Bankers are well-informed of client issues, requests, and opportunities for growth.
  • Participate in sales processes, offering product expertise and online banking demonstrations.
  • Deepen relationships by taking a consultative approach to client needs, both from a product and service perspective.
  • Provide flawless account transition services, including account opening, cash management service enrollment, and online banking training.
  • Maintain accurate client records through a central repository of shared drives or databases.
  • Complete monthly or annual audit reviews as required for select products and services.
  • Review and decision of daily overdraft and other account reports, escalating issues to management as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Demonstrate a superior level of service, product acumen, and attention to detail, responding to client needs outside of normal business hours and on weekends.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in client-facing roles, with a background in the financial services industry a plus.
  • Ability to accurately understand and audit financial statements.
  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
  • Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office software package (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of HorizonXE is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to respond in a timely manner.
  • Passion to support and work with socially responsible and mission-based organizations.
