POSITION OVERVIEW

Oversee and manage the functions of culinary staff and kitchen personnel. Establish standards for food presentation and create visually appealing food arrangements. Ensure accurate portioning, presentation, and garnishing of dishes. Supervise the quantity of food prepared and communicate with service staff regarding menu highlights and unavailable items. Prepare unique meals or alternative options as necessary. Assist kitchen staff with various duties and supply cooks with essential items. Track inventory of kitchen supplies and food products. Maintain records for food safety and quality assurance, notifying management of any discrepancies in product standards.

Support management in the recruitment, training, scheduling, assessment, counseling, and motivation of team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security; report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management; complete necessary safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure that uniforms and personal appearance are tidy and professional; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; safeguard company assets.
  • Address guest service requirements with professionalism; communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with team members; collaborate to achieve common objectives; listen and respond to employee concerns appropriately.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations; maintain physical presence through standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
  • Perform physical tasks such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Execute other reasonable job responsibilities as directed by supervisors.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
