Position Summary

We are in search of a proficient Senior Project Manager to oversee and direct substantial construction initiatives from their inception to completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring that both Stahl and our clients experience a seamless and profitable construction journey.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation

  • Review and negotiate work scopes and contractual agreements.
  • Supervise the development of feasibility assessments, site evaluations, and risk analyses.
  • Prepare cost estimates and budget allocations as necessary.
  • Engage in pre-construction activities, including site evaluations and risk management.
  • Analyze and comprehend architectural drawings and contract documentation.
  • Secure local permits and insurance certificates to fulfill contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate plan distribution to ensure comprehensive bid coverage.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Accountable for the financial health and budget of the project.
  • Solicit bids from subcontractors.
  • Review billing requirements and payment applications with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish and manage documentation for pricing and change orders.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and ensure timely deliveries.

Execution and Monitoring

  • Negotiate contract modifications with clients, architects, and subcontractors.
  • Initiate Requests for Information (RFIs) and track project progress.

Risk Management and Problem Resolution

  • Safeguard company confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to uphold high standards.
  • Monitor compliance with contractual obligations by subcontractors.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and other stakeholders.
  • Lead meetings to advocate for the company's interests while fostering strong relationships.
  • Maintain effective communication and deliver exceptional customer service.

Project Closure

  • Oversee project close-out activities, including final billings and warranty documentation.
  • Ensure successful project handover, including training and operational readiness.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned.

Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance professional knowledge through training and license updates.
  • Exemplify professionalism and reliability to positively influence the team.
  • Mentor Assistant Project Managers to foster their development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong grasp of construction processes, building codes, and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Extensive experience in commercial construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in BIM, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard software.
  • Experience with K-12 educational construction projects.

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
