Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager position is responsible for effectively leading construction projects from initial concept through final completion, managing contracts and budget to ensure a profitable building experience for Stahl, clients, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Initiation
    • Support project pursuits and review work scopes and contracts.
    • Oversee feasibility studies, site analyses, and risk assessments.
    • Create cost estimates and budget breakdowns.
    • Participate in preconstruction activities, including site walk-throughs and risk logs.
    • Review and understand drawings and contract documents.
    • Obtain local licenses, certifications, and certificates of insurance.
    • Coordinate plan distribution for bid coverage.
  • Budget and Resource Management
    • Responsible for budget and financial condition of project.
    • Solicit subcontractor bids and review billing requirements.
    • Set up and issue documentation for pricing and change administration.
    • Assist with material procurement and expediting deliveries.
  • Execution and Monitoring
    • Negotiate modifications with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
    • Initiate RFIs and monitor progress.
  • Risk Management and Problem Resolution
    • Maintain company confidentiality and ensure construction activities adhere to quality standards and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular site inspections, quality audits, and safety meetings.
    • Monitor and ensure contract requirements with subcontractors.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Serve as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
    • Effectively lead meetings to protect company interests and promote relationship-based service.
    • Maintain open lines of communication and provide high-level customer service.
  • Project Closure
    • Lead project close-out efforts, including final billings and warranties.
    • Ensure successful handover of project, including documentation and training.
    • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
    • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
    • Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, safety regulations, and project management methodologies.
    • Excellent organization, leadership, and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
