Position Summary

We are in search of an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and guide substantial construction initiatives from their initial stages through to successful completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all projects are managed effectively, with a focus on contract management, budget adherence, and the overall satisfaction of our clients and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation

  • Conduct thorough reviews and negotiations of work scopes and contracts.
  • Lead the preparation of feasibility studies, site analyses, and risk assessments.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and budget breakdowns as necessary.
  • Engage in pre-construction activities, including site evaluations and risk management.
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding of drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Secure local licenses and certifications to fulfill contract requirements.
  • Coordinate plan distribution to guarantee comprehensive bid coverage.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Oversee the financial health of the project, ensuring budget compliance.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to review billing requirements and pay applications.
  • Establish documentation for pricing and change management.
  • Assist in material procurement and manage delivery timelines.

Execution and Monitoring

  • Negotiate contract modifications with stakeholders, utilizing a solid understanding of contract law.
  • Initiate Requests for Information (RFIs) and monitor project progress.

Risk Management and Problem Resolution

  • Safeguard company confidentiality and uphold quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to maintain high standards.
  • Monitor subcontractor adherence to contract requirements.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings to protect company interests while fostering strong relationships.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to provide exceptional customer service.

Project Closure

  • Lead project close-out activities, including final billings and warranty management.
  • Ensure successful project handover, including documentation and operational readiness.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned.

Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance professional knowledge through ongoing training and certification updates.
  • Foster a positive team environment by exemplifying professionalism and reliability.
  • Mentor junior project managers to support their development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in commercial construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with BIM, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard software.
  • Experience in K-12 education construction projects.

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
