Position Summary

We are in search of an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and direct major construction initiatives from their initial stages through to successful completion. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all parties involved—clients, subcontractors, and our firm—experience a seamless and profitable construction journey.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Initiation

  • Negotiate and finalize work scopes and contracts.
  • Lead the development of feasibility studies, site evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budget allocations as necessary.
  • Engage in pre-construction tasks such as site walkthroughs and risk management planning.
  • Interpret and review architectural drawings and contract documents thoroughly.
  • Secure necessary local licenses and insurance certifications to comply with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate the distribution of plans to ensure comprehensive bid coverage.

Budget and Resource Management

  • Oversee the financial health and budgetary constraints of projects.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to review billing processes and payment applications.
  • Manage documentation related to pricing and changes.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials and ensure timely deliveries.

Execution and Monitoring

  • Facilitate contract modifications with stakeholders through effective management practices.
  • Initiate Requests for Information (RFIs) and track project progress.

Risk Management and Problem Resolution

  • Uphold company confidentiality and integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices throughout the construction process.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance with contractual obligations.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and other stakeholders.
  • Lead meetings to safeguard the company's interests while fostering strong relationships with clients and design teams.
  • Maintain effective communication channels to deliver exceptional customer service.

Project Closure

  • Oversee project close-out activities, including final billing and warranty management.
  • Ensure a smooth transition of project documentation and operational readiness.
  • Conduct evaluations post-project to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance professional skills through ongoing training and development.
  • Foster a positive team environment by exemplifying professionalism and reliability.
  • Mentor junior project managers to cultivate future leaders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, codes, and project management practices.
  • Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience in commercial construction projects is essential.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with BIM, Bluebeam, and other industry-standard software.
  • Experience in K-12 educational construction projects.

Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000
