Job Summary:

Parkland Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional respiratory care services to patients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide basic respiratory care to patients, as prescribed by physicians, and within established standards and practices.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory conditions, developing and implementing effective care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Operate and maintain respiratory equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques, technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program from an accredited American institution.
  • Current licensure and certification in Respiratory Care, as required by the state of Texas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
