About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient needs and provide appropriate respiratory care services, including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of respiratory active drugs, including indications, actions, interactions, and adverse reactions.
  • Perform and document diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring quality and service indicators are met.
  • Troubleshoot respiratory equipment and ensure proper function.
  • Provide timely reports and communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care Program from an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) program.
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc. (NBRC).
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license from either the Texas Department of State Health Services OR Texas Medical Board.
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR course completion card.
